Evaluation of dry hydrogen peroxide in reducing microbial bioburden in a healthcare facility

BackgroundStandard cleaning practices are often inadequate. Persistent the environment poses infection risk that may mitigated by systems. This study evaluates efficacy of dry hydrogen peroxide (DHP) microbial surface as routine a large urban hospital.MethodsSurface samples were collected five different hospital units, two pediatric three adult, after multiple days before DHP implementation. Air also each unit pre- post-DHP use.
